William E. Tucker
Bill Tucker is the Co-Managing Partner of Tucker Midis & Associates, LLC, a merchant banking firm which is based in Atlanta. Mr. Tucker managed numerous practices within the global investment banking community. Immediately prior to founding Tucker Midis, he was the Managing Director of the Atlanta M&A practice, and the U.S. Financial Services Investment Banking operations of Ernst & Young Corporate Finance, LLC. The emphasis of this practice was M&A and financial advisory for middle market companies. Before joining E&Y, Mr. Tucker was the Managing Director and head of Arthur Andersen’s Global Corporate Finance, North American Financial Services Investment Banking practice. Both the E&Y and Andersen practices were wholly owned broker-dealers within the respective accountancies. Prior to joining the Big 5, Mr. Tucker was a Senior Vice President in Wachovia Capital Markets, managing the Institution’s Financial Services and Large Corporate Investment Banking activities. Bill began his investment-banking career in the Regional Institutional Fixed Income Group at the Robinson-Humphrey Company.
Bill is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN with BA Honors in Liberal Arts and holds an MBA, from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, Durham, NC, and has completed advanced executive education at the Eurasia Center INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.
Bill, his wife and two children live in Atlanta, Georgia.
Panos S. Midis
Panos is the Co-Managing Partner of Tucker Midis & Associates, LLC, a merchant banking firm which is based in Atlanta. Prior to forming Tucker Midis, Panos served as a Managing Director with Hunter Capital Group/FinanStar, a Merchant Bank sponsored and funded by KIPCO, a multibillion dollar investment company headquartered in Kuwait. With offices in Park City, New York, Boston and Atlanta, Hunter Capital focused on private equity investments, merger and acquisitions, equity and debt fund raising, and general corporate advisory services. While at Hunter Capital, Panos worked in a variety of industries, including business services (call centers, fulfillment and distribution), logistics, gaming, technology and telecommunications. In addition, Panos was responsible for the creation, growth and ultimate sale of several companies formed in partnership with Sumitomo Bank, Sumitomo Electric and Twin Sun, Inc. Before joining Hunter Capital, he was a corporate finance attorney responsible for the liquidation (pooling and otherwise) of several billion in assets associated with failed financial institutions located in Texas, Florida, and Virginia. Additionally, he represented Fortune 500 companies and start ups on general corporate matters, financings, and litigation.
Panos graduated with an economics degree from Duke University, a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, and an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.
Panos lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and two daughters.
Robert B. Owen
Robert is a Partner of Tucker Midis & Associates, LLC, a merchant banking firm which is based in Atlanta. Prior to joining Tucker Midis, Mr. Owen was a Vice President of Peachtree Equity Partners, a $110 million private equity fund based in Atlanta focused on providing non-control equity to middle-market companies for growth, acquisition financing, or shareholder liquidity. At Peachtree, Robert was responsible for originating, executing, and monitoring principal investment opportunities for the fund. Before joining Peachtree Equity Partners, Mr. Owen was a founder and Principal of Westhampton Partners, a $100 million private equity firm with offices in Atlanta and Richmond, Virginia that focused on making acquisitions of middle market companies. Prior to founding Westhampton Partners, he was an Associate at Harris Williams & Co., a mergers and acquisitions advisory firm based in Richmond, VA. Robert began his career as a Commercial Relationship Manager at NationsBank (now Bank of America) in North Carolina.
Robert received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters of Business Administration from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
Robert lives with his wife and son in Atlanta, Georgia.
